June is here, and the kids are out of school. It’s the beginning of the summer and for many it’s also vacation time. There will be plenty of people looking for fun things to do and places to go. The good news is that there are plenty of both. Here are just a few of the things happening in Southern California.
If you like magic, and food, try “Merlin’s Magic Dinner Show”. You will be treated like royalty at this two-hour dinner show. Enjoy hearty food and tasty beverages as you are waited on hand and foot. All while you are entertained by Merlin the Magician. You can enjoy the magic and dinner show at “Rib Trader Restaurant” in Orange, CA.
Everyone should go whale watching at least once in their life. View the gray whales as they migrate down the coast to Baja California. Peak whale watching season is January and February along the Southern California coast. It may be a little late this year but keep it in mind for next year.
If you and your kids want to take a ride on a miniature train, go to “Goat Hill Junction” in Costa Mesa. It’s at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa and it’s open year-round Saturday and Sunday, third weekend. Free train rides around the park. It’s fun for kids and adults.
For something fun and educational you might try the Palm Springs Tram. It’s open year-round and features views of the different eco systems starting from the hot desert floor up into the cool San Jacinto mountains. It also has the world’s largest rotating tram cars that hold up to 80 passengers.
So, if you’re looking for something fun to do around Southern California, those are just a few of the many things that are available.
